The Alliances:

The Neighborhood Alliance Program affords residents the opportunity to work directly with city government by establishing neighborhood districts, allowing the community greater connectivity and the ability to be active in achieving the goals of their area. Through this program, neighbors work together to identify area specific needs, address challenges, and enhance the quality of life by having representatives who act as the voice of their area. There are twelve alliances each serving their own district, in which representatives will meet monthly to discuss specific and common goals, gameplan solutions, and work as a collective to build a stronger and better Princeton.

  • Serve as a direct link between residents and city government.

  • Creates collaborative and collective thinking by giving residents the chance to participate in decision making that benefit the whole community.

  • Organize neighborhood cleanups , community events and projects.

  • Work together to find solutions for issues affecting neighborhoods, parks, public spaces while helping create a safer and more welcoming environment.

  • Address local challenges within the neighborhoods such as flooding, safety concerns and traffic.

Want to represent your District?

Representatives are the liaisons for their district and will be tasked with monitoring and reporting issues and concerns to the Mayor, Code Enforcement & Planning and Zoning Department. They will be appointed by the Mayor on a 2 year term and meet biquarterly at a time a place decided by each Alliance.
